Editing: Final Adjustments

Once we had finished grading the video, there were two things that were pointed out that we thought that could be improved.

Firstly, Gavin thought some of the shots felt a bit empty, as some of the wide shots had a lot of space around the outside. A good example of this being the Monopoly setup.

Before scaling up
To fix this, the shots were scaled up by at most 15%, otherwise the loss of quality would be obvious.

After scaling up
It was a subtle difference, but it did make the shots seem less empty overall.

Secondly, ever since the steal-o-matic, we wanted to add a title. We decided to add it to the last shot. We wanted to do this for two reasons. Firstly to have the Pilgrim logo as the last thing the viewer sees in the video, to anchor the brand with the band's image in this video. Secondly, it was to give our video the ending that it needed.

It is a typical convention of indie-genre videos, which we picked up from a few different music videos.

George Ezra: Blame It On Me

Bombay Bicycle Club: Carry Me
